For the building „Wilsdruffer cube“ a façade should be found that will respond appropriately to the environment – including the Zwinger and Schauspielhaus, as well as buildings of the post-war period. The design should implement the requirements of the urban design competition and the development plan. A monolithic building figure with two-story arcades facing the Wilsdruffer Straße was proposed for the design. The façade is divided into appropriate modules by tectonic elements. Circumferential cornices emphasize the floor levels in the façade, pilaster strips accentuate the pillars.
